My 9 year old ADHD daughter is really into making her own DIY fidget toys for ADHD. A few days ago, she came up with a really simple way for how to make a LEGO fidget spinner! I was impressed by her ingenuity and creativity.
She used common LEGO bricks that most people will already have, so it’s unlikely you’ll need to purchase any additional LEGO bricks to make this LEGO fidget spinner.
If you want to learn how to make a LEGO fidget spinner using regular LEGO bricks, you will love this super simple DIY LEGO fidget spinner!

How to Make a Fidget Spinner from LEGO Bricks
This design for a LEGO fidget spinner is super easy and kids as young as five will be able to make this design on their own.
Follow along with our step-by-step directions and get started playing with your LEGO fidget spinner in minutes!
What You Need to Make a LEGO Fidget Spinner
For our LEGO fidget spinner, my daughter used:
- 1 2×2 square brick
- 2 2×4 flat bricks
- 1 4×4 flat brick
- 1 flat brick with a rotating circular center and four connection points
The only brick that you might have trouble locating is the rotating center brick. However, I know my daughter built this using the LEGO Creative box, so if you have that set, then you’ll definitely have all of the pieces you need.
Additionally, a lot of LEGO space sets like this one will have the rotating center piece you need to make this DIY LEGO fidget spinner.
So if you’ve ever purchased any space LEGO sets in the past, you probably also have this rotating piece.

Step-by-Step Directions to Make a Fidget Spinner Using LEGO Bricks
Put the rotating center brick in the center of the 4×4 flat square.
Next, put the 2×2 square brick in the center bottom of the 4×4 piece.
On the top of the rotating piece, connect the two 2×4 flat pieces to make a long rectangle.
Make sure everything is pressed together tightly or the LEGO fidget spinner will fall apart easily.
Hold the bottom square piece in one hand and push the rectangles around in a circle. Your LEGO fidget spinner is complete!
And if that isn’t the easiest way to make a LEGO fidget spinner, I don’t know what would be!
